Green walls or hanging walls have become uniquely popular in modern times. Green walls are a way to make your house more eco friendly. It can also attract birds and insects to your garden whom are mother natures polinators. Green walls enhances building exterior as well as interior facades. If your house is warm in the summer a green wall can keep temperatures down during the day and in the winter a green wall can also keep the warmth in by adding an aditional layer of insulation. It can also reduce noise by absorbing sound.
If you want to landscape your garden and add a green design, here are some easy to use DIY ideas for inspiration. My favourite is the green wall using mosaic glass tiles in the design.
Mosaic tiles in bathrooms are becoming more and more popular. The small glass tiles add a modern look and feel to your bathroom interior. They can be used to create a elegant & bespoke backsplash or be used to cover the interior bathroom wall. Instead of doing a potentially costly renovation, consider just retiling certain sections of the bathroom walls & floor.
The glass tiles come in a range of stunning colors and designs. We work closely with home owners, architects, interior designers and builders. Contact ruarkmosaicart for a free consultation on your next project.

One of the mosaic installations I am currently working on has these beautiful pillars at the front entrance. The old pillars are magnificently covered in black glass tiles with gold and silver ones sprinkled in between. The Rex Trueform building in Saltriver is quite old with a lot of mosaic work around the building. It would be interesting to find out more about the craftsmen or women whom did all of this brilliant mosaic work.
My next project – Maintenance of this beautiful mosaic floor, discovered under a carpet after lying hidden for more than half a century.
The mosaic coat of arms was uncovered in the Rex Trueform building in Victoria road, Salt River, Cape Town.
The mosaic is in the shape of a large 10 meter diameter circle and damage was done to a small portion of the mural and this part will be restored by Ruarkmosaicart in the coming weeks. The origional glass tiles will be matched and replaced with similar looking glass tiles.
