Green walls or hanging walls have become uniquely popular in modern times. Green walls are a way to make your house more eco friendly. It can also attract birds and insects to your garden whom are mother natures polinators. Green walls enhances building exterior as well as interior facades. If your house is warm in the summer a green wall can keep temperatures down during the day and in the winter a green wall can also keep the warmth in by adding an aditional layer of insulation. It can also reduce noise by absorbing sound.
If you want to landscape your garden and add a green design, here are some easy to use DIY ideas for inspiration. My favourite is the green wall using mosaic glass tiles in the design.
This is a close up of the mosaic glass tiles I am currently working with. All the colors have been specifically chosen to match an existing 80 year old floor mosaic that I am renovating. The existing older glass tiles of the floor are all hand cut squares and none are the same color or have straight edges as you can see below. I have cut the edges of my tiles to more closely match the imperfect existing tiles.
Mosaic tiles in bathrooms are becoming more and more popular. The small glass tiles add a modern look and feel to your bathroom interior. They can be used to create a elegant & bespoke backsplash or be used to cover the interior bathroom wall. Instead of doing a potentially costly renovation, consider just retiling certain sections of the bathroom walls & floor.
The glass tiles come in a range of stunning colors and designs. We work closely with home owners, architects, interior designers and builders. Contact ruarkmosaicart for a free consultation on your next project.

I recently converted a bathroom wall covered in beige coloured travertine tiles and replaced the travertine with mosaic glass tiles. Only the wall in the picture was covered in glass tiles whilst the rest of the bathroom was covered in a beautiful, light marble tile. The renovation really improved the bathroom interior and gave it a very modern feel.
Check out this before and after picture of the renovation:
I found this really cool photo of a suspended green wall using recycled bottles. The bottles are filled with plants and suspended on cables against the wall. Greening your wall with a vertical garden…what a nice space saver.
